Happy Love Month

Hello, hello! Welcome to our romantic month- February. For a lot of us, it's the love month but for the Vancouverites or the majority of Canadians, it's the Olympic month. As you noticed by now, my disappearing act is at large. This posting might even be the first and last for this month. Have I told you that I am volunteering for the Olympics in Vancouver for the whole month? It would only be for the weekends but since I spend the whole week at work and with my honey to make up for my absence on the weekends, my networking time would most likely be cut off. I'm afraid I won't even be able to do any of my leisure activities at home since I'd be needing the energy and time I could reserve for this very special event.

There's a lot of good things I am excited about with the Vancouver 2010 Olympics being held right here in BC where I am fortunately residing on this beautiful side of Canada:
  1. It's the World Olympic and Paralympic Winter Games-- need I say more?!
  2. It's in Vancouver, BC, voted the best city in the Americas for three consecutive years.
  3. As a new Canadian citizen, I am proud to be chosen among the lucky volunteer workers to welcome the International Olympic Committee at the Westin Bayshore, on spectacular shores of Coal Harbour.
  4. It will be an honor to have this closer meeting with the Olympic committe, dignitaries and international families from around the globe for possible new friendships.
  5. It's a once in a lifetime experience at the very heart of where I am located right now in my life journey.
  6. There's no better way to appreciate the Canadian citizenship I have sworn barely a year ago.
  7. Proud to participate to this very important event that this country and its people put together with years of hardwork and dedication to make it happen right here in BC.
  8. Proud to wear the bright blue uniform and be able to keep it along with other mementos.
  9. It's a good story I can share years from now and it will still be a good story to tell over and over again.
  10. Imagine the Olympics we can only see on TV when they happen every 4 years? Why, click here. Well, when you turn that TV on this February, you may not see me but I am there- physically, mentally. I know, it's patriotic but well, hey, it happens only once and this may be the first and last in Vancouver so why not make the most of it in a good way right?
Tune in for updated photos. I will try my best to take some good ones that I can share with you here....
