GO CANADA GO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wooo Hooo! It's another GOLD for Canada team tonight. I am not really a big sport fan and I don't do much of that in real life anyways. In fact, I think the hardest I've done as far as physical is concerned would be the rowing machine and that is not even considered a sport- duh! Filipinos are well-known for their expertise on Basketball but neither that I would consider myself good at. Besides, I'd rather cheer for my childhood friend, Wendy while she takes charge at the court and because she's petite, you can only see the goals she makes. Man, is she ever good! I'm sure she can still play and shoot balls despite marriage and having a little girl and all..... I guess I just love to cheer-- and support, period. And since I'm here in Canada, of course I cheer for Canadian Team and would give my support in any way I can, whether that is a win or a fall. Above all, I love the Olympics and I still can't believe that I get the chance to see it in person or on TV live, all the games and athletes I want to see. I can't remember if I even had this opportunity back home when I was younger. So I embrace this blessing. I embrace the chance to witness their triumph; the chance to see them win their game; the chance to witness their emotions,their humility when they step into that podium, their cheering families and friends, the tears of laughter in their eyes; the sadness when they fall.

So far Canada holds the fourth place on total medal standing and they won 7 GOLD Medals alongside the USA and Germany. There are more games to look forward to and hopefully, more medals to win as the Closing Ceremony draws nearer. I don't want to think that it's almost over since we still have the Paralympics in March but the ceremony will be held this Sunday so that means we have only 4 more days to witness these very exciting games and competitors. Very tough athletes! But I still love how the FIRST Gold was won on home soil by this very beautiful person, Alex Bilodeau, Freestyle Skiing, Men's Moguls. What an amazing personality and I just love it when they show so much humility when they get interviewed after winning. I'd say that 99% of these Canadian medalists have down-to-earth personalities. Aside from the Canadian team, among my other favorites would be:

  1. Shaun White, USA on Snowboard- he's amazingly creative and a strong athlete;

  2. Tora Bright. Australia on Lady's halfpipe Snowboard, just love her strength;

  3. Apolo Ohno, USA on Short Track Speedskating- one because I loved him @ Dancing with the Stars;

  4. Zhao & Shen, China on Figure Skating, pairs- perfect short & long performance & no mistakes at all;

  5. Evan Lysacek, USA on Figure Skating- he was the only skater that did it perfectly well.

  6. Clara Hughes, Canada- if you click on her name, you will know why I have to mention her on my list.
Hope to post more Canadian Athlete winners here in the next remaining Olympic period. Keep it up Canada!
