The Lighthouse, Nanaimo

On the weekend, we decided to take mom with us for an afternoon ride to Nanaimo just to get out of the house. It was rainy, cold and sun was peeking through in between but nothing spectacular. We have a few favorite places that we go to and this Sunday, we thought it was a good day to watch the ferries, boats and floatplanes come and go. And the only place to enjoy that with drinks and calamari is The Lighthouse. The servers change every time we visit but this time, we had really good service. We were very well attended to so instead of just having one drink, I took advantage of the Sunday special and had 2 instead. The atmosphere was very relaxing and most people that were there that day were more of families and closed friends just hanging out on a normal rainy Sunday.
