Hot and Sour

I didn't realize that I haven't shared this with you! Talking about the things we take for granted....

You must have seen lots of my photos on Facebook when we go to Nanaimo for "hot and sour" soup, almost every Sunday, this Sunday included.

And Pho Boi is the only place we go to, to enjoy this Vietnamese soup: lots of chopped lemon grass, sea food, fresh noodles, fresh veggies of celery, tomatoes and chunks of pineapple on hot and sour soup, served with fresh jalapeƱo peppers, bunch of thai basil and bean sprouts. But while waiting, you get to enjoy a cup of jasmine tea, great for cold weather like this.

Food is served in no time: one other thing I like when we arrive there starving...

Great food, fast, friendly service, great atmosphere, clean,... my recipe for a quick, relaxing lunch on days like these. There's always room even at rush hours when the place seems packed. The food is available almost at anytime of the day. We've gone there at odd hours and they haven't failed us, so far.

Do try it when you are around the area sometime...
