First Week of Feb in photos...

Day 1- my view was not exactly the photo above but we had the same sun shining bright in the morning. Have you noticed that days are getting longer and I can still see a peek of daylight on my home from work?

Day 2- words and this day is all about things I discovered. I found out that having the new Manager is not that bad after all; that small things really mean a lot to my honey.... and me; that there are so many amazing things worth discovering from many a great minds!

Day 3- hands... You and me, hand in hand together, for better or worse. Cheers!

Day 4- a stranger crossing the road on a foggy morning at downtown, Nanaimo. It was cold, damp, misty and the closer we drove the downtown core, the lesser we could see. The more photos I took, the closer I got drawn to watch. Maybe that's why they call it misty? It is so mysteriously fascinating: The road, the trees, the vehicles, hiding behind this thick fog! The shades and colors were beautiful in their own mysterious way. Who said that cold days of gloomy winter are all depressing?

Hungry? Tired of the usual loud places? Urban Beet is one place to go. The atmosphere was just right for the weather, for our hungry tummies and picky taste buds... The music was the type you would usually listen to at home, while relaxing with a glass of wine.

Soup of the day: carrot ginger was perfect for bad tummy and it was delish. The house salad could have used a bit more tang but overall, not bad. I just remember, they forgot to serve my cornbread!

Spinach, beets, fruits, carrots, apple vinaigrette....

Dessert: cold days need warmth and craving for tazo chai latte. After a stroll around Chapters, our local bookstore, in search of books I found on Amazon, I discovered that it's cheaper getting them for dollar saver than buying them at retail price. Amazon, you win!

Time to go, honey! Project Life is waiting. My cousin is waiting for my call. My laundry is waiting. Until next, have a relaxing Sunday!
