The bar is our fave spot: not just to see what's going on behind the rolls but also a chance to catch up with Nobu and his staff, and some old timers that hang out. We were too early so after 2 hours, this bar was filled with laughter.
My honey had a craving for dynamite rolls, so as soon as our warm sake was served, this plate was served to us in no time....
And fresh tempura prawns....
With my fave spicy miso soup with tofu....
We tried a new dish this time which was on special....
But we kept the spicy tuna roll going....
Keni roll was delish! Wrapped crab meat with candied fried salmon skin on top.
I was full by the time we had the special Parksville Maki roll...
But it's not sushi without sashimi....
My honey enjoyed every bite...
While I savoured my green tea ice cream with red beans!
Our sous chef kept us entertained. By the way, no swearing is allowed at the bar or this lucky cat will fine you $5.00 each swear word! No word of lies....
