Teri's in Town!

Finally! She made it here to the island after so much planning and cancellation. So the work and all didn't stop us from making the most of her visit so we took her to our most fave and top sushi place you can find here on the island: Sushi Ichi!
Nobu's garden is at its best this time of year and this entrance is warm enough to welcome you and have a sit at the bar (see far end) even with the "close" sign on ;). He has a full blown garden with real bamboo trees for dine-in, if you want the island's fresh air while sipping your warm "sake" out to the right side(not shown).

I was not camera ready so I missed our appies of  "prawn tempuras" and "sashimi". The tuna and salmon were just dellish and fresh! So here we introduced Teri to Nobu's secret dish "Parksville Maki Roll". Three sauces on top and you have a choice of fried breaded salmon or eel, rolled in thin egg wrapper. Yum!
Did you know that you can make up your own recipe and name then if you're lucky, it will be on his menu? Introducing Murray's roll, light and lots of fresh seafood.
We came with hungry tummies so this is our last main dish: Special "BC Rolls", "Da Rich Roll" (love this one with fresh tuna and roe) and the crunchy "Spider Roll"! Because it was close to closing time, my honey didn't get his second serving of warm "sake" and my fave "green tea icecream". Next time, and we were full! Great job, Nobu and team! You outdid yourselves again!
It was past nine in the evening and on our way home, we could see a beautiful light shining in the sky so we headed down to the beach and found this.....
Thought we'd take a few jumps but not a very good lighting.

Still, it's really a pleasure to have Teri back again. Thank you for making it and please don't go yet. Stay! I still have to show you the goats on the roof when I get my day off ok. (hmmm, see if that would work...)
                                                      Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
