Hello Thursday...

Mmmmm, it'd be nice to be greeted by this every morning. But that was on Sunday- my honey was in the mood to do the Kevin's Sunday Gourmet breakfast. That was one of his best omelettes, ala "Al's" but he said Al's the best. I said that was really good, crispy outside and moist inside but not undercook or burnt at the bottom. Anyhow, that was our weekend and I can't beleive how time flies! It's Thursday and weekend is coming up again. I felt the need to enjoy the only Sundays I have this summer because this feels like the shortest summer we had so far. And work has always been a priority since I started with THC. Tourists have been flocking here in Parksville since the end of June and you can feel and see the touristy atmosphere. We get customers not just from all over Canada but mostly from the States and Europe and surprisingly, a couple from New Zealand. All have something to do with getting phones that can work here if they don't know how to unlock their own phones they purchased from HongKong. You can see traffic everyday but this weekend was the busiest by far. Parksville prepares annual events so a lot of tourists are either regulars or know what they are doing. So this weekend was the launch of the Beach Fest which means Kite Flying and most importantly, the Sand Castle. I was able to "force" my honey to come and play tourist with me and join the crowd. So for curiosities' sake and with my cellphone's help and my honey's old DSLR, we managed to pull good photos together to share with you folks. For those who are coming to the Big Johnsons' Fest, we already made the reservation for 5 spots at the same place starting Friday, the 6th of Aug till Sunday. So you still have to see the Sandcastle if you feel like missing out and if you want to explore more, just let us know.

WELCOME SIGN IS ON AND SEE THE TRAFFIC BELOW?
That's all folks. We have lots of photos to share so if you have some time, just pop in to my Picasa Album. I update that once in a while and send you a link but I do have a Public one that you can also view. Thanks and have a great weekend. Looking forward to see you all in August, the Johnsons and the Flips:).....

Wow--gorgeous photos Nancy!!! And as for the omelette, Kevin and Al make the best omelettes in the world. Maybe they should start up an OMELETTE business. They could call it 'World's Best Omelettes'. This summer definitely does seem short. It got such a late start and now July is almost over already. This weather now feels so wonderful and therapeutic. Just hope it lasts.
